Privacy Policy
What we collect
- Your name and email address when you create an account
- Your reading activity (which posts you view, like, and save)
- Your reading streak data, stored locally on your device
- Your IP address and browser information for security and abuse prevention
How we use it
- To personalise your reading feed and recommendations
- To save your liked and bookmarked posts
- To operate and improve the MicroRead platform
- We do not sell your data to third parties
- We do not use your data for advertising
Authentication & cookies
We use a secure, HTTP-only session cookie to keep you logged in. Your password is stored as a bcrypt hash — we never store your plaintext password. Sessions expire after 30 days of inactivity.
Data retention
We retain your account and activity data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting hello@cyberfreezedev.com.
Third-party services
- Replicate AI — used to generate book metadata and insights from uploaded PDFs. Book content is sent to Replicate for processing and is subject to Replicate's Privacy Policy.
- Hostinger VPS — our app and database are hosted on Hostinger servers in the EU.
